Handgun / Long Gun Transfers

From FFL Dealer

If you are transferring from a dealer, we will need a copy of their FFL or they must include a copy of their FFL with the shipment.

 

 

From Individual

If you are transferring from an individual, the seller must include a front & back photo copy of their Drivers License.

 

 

FFL Finder Service

We will help find an FFL dealer close to the location of your choice for a Documentation Fee of $10.00

 

 

Tracking/Receiving Your Package(s)

Bull Moose Guns, as a courtesy will call the number provided with the transfer to notify you that it has arrived. However, sometimes the number provided by the shippers can be wrong. Please remember to follow your tracking number as the main means of notification.

 

 

Note on Transferring Handguns

Pickup requires a valid NC license or identification card and it must contain your current address on the ID. If you use a North Carolina Concealed Handgun permit, both the ID and the permit must be valid and the address must match on both.

Must be 21 years of age or older.

 

 

Note on Transferring Antiques

It is our policy to charge a fee ($35) for antique firearms that are sent to us for transfer.

Must be 18 years of age or older. (This applies to all long gun transactions)

 

Storage Policy

It is our policy to charge $50 per month for the storage of any firearm (transfer, gunsmithing, and/or consignment) in our possession.  This fee starts after the first 30 days from arrival in the shop.  This fee will stack each month that pass without payment. 

 

Any firearm (transfer, gunsmithing and/or consignment) that is left for 12 months will become property of BMG and will be sold to remove the firearm from our books and to recuperate storage costs.

Denied transactions are the customer’s responsibility.  Transfer, shipping, and storage fees (if applicable) are due immediately.

ALL FIREARMS SOLD TO RESIDENTS OF CALIFORNIA WILL INCUR A FEE OF $20.00,

DUE TO ADDITIONAL PAPERWORK REQUIRED BY THE CALIFORNIA DEPTARTMENT OF JUSTICE.

 

In the event that you have a Transfer sent through us for pickup and you CANNOT take ownership of the item (Ex: a denied sale as a result of a failed background check/if you purchase an item of which you are not the legal age to purchase)

THERE WILL STILL BE A TRANSFER FEE REQUIRED FOR THE ITEM TO BE RETURNED TO THE ORIGINAL SENDER, SHIPPING FEES MAY APPLY

California FFL Verification Process - $20.00 per shipment

Insurance:

• We will cover up to $500

• $2 charged for every $100 up to $1,000

• $4 charged for every $100 after $1,000

 

Firearms are bubble wrapped and packaged securely, then sent off using FedEx.
