Swiss Sporterized M78 Vetterli in .41 RF. Overall this rifle is in poor but functional condition. Mechanically it functions as it should. The bore is lightly worn with strong lands and grooves. The rifle retains about 90% of its original finish. There is surface rust on the barrel, receiver, and trigger guard and dried grease around the rear sight. The handguard has been cut down with the frontcap and barrel band being absent. The buttplate has been replaced. The rear sight has been replaced with a sleeved brass front sight being fitted to match. The rifle features a 33 inch barrel. This would make a suitable collector's piece.
