Mauser "Red 9" Broomhandle Pistol with Stock and Holster
Mauser Red 9 Broomhandle chambered in 9mm. This pistol is in excellent condition overall. Cosmetically this pistol is in excellent condition. There is nearly 100% of the original high polish bluing remaining. The wood grips, which are marked with a large red 9 to indicate that this pistol is in 9mm, are in excellent condition. The wood stock is an original military stock, unsanded but not matching serial numbers. The leather reproduction belt holster is dated 1916 and is marked "A. PH. HOFFMANN" "BERLIN". The leather is in very good condition, free of any major rips of damage. The pistol itself is all matching and is not import marked. It is marked with the Prussian Eagle on the front of the magazine well, noting it is part of the 1915 contract for 150,000 pistols in 9mm. The bore is bright and mirror-like with strong lands and grooves. Mechanically this pistol is excellent and it functions as it should. This pistol would make an excellent a center piece addition to a World War I or firearm collection! C&R eligible!
