CVA Hawken Rifle .50 Cal Black Powder Muzzleloader Reproduction. Overall this rifle is in very good to excellent condition.  Mechanically it functions as it should. The bore is bright, with strong lands and grooves. There are a few minor handling marks on the left side of the stock. This rifle was Made in Spain by Conneticut Valley Arms or "CVA" for short. This rifle is a reproduction of the original Hawken Rifle, which was designed in 1823, and saw service with the Confederacy in the American Civil War. The right side of the barrel is marked with two Spanish black powder proof marks. This rifle's rear sight is adjustable. This rifle does include its ramrod, which is slightly bent at the end, but still functions. This would be great to add to your Civil War firearm collection.
