1987 FN Browning BDA-380 in .380ACP. Overall this pistol is in excellent condition. Mechanically it functions as it should. The bore is bright and mirror like, with strong lands and grooves. There are extremely minor handling marks on the walnut grips. The grips are original and each side features a Browning medallion. The left side of the slide is marked with "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN,UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q". The right side of the slide is marked with "FABRIQUE NATIONALE HERSTAL", followed by the Pietro Beretta logo and "MADE IN ITALY". The BDA-380 was manufactured by Beretta of Italy on behalf of FN Herstal in Belgium. In the United States and Canada it was sold as the BDA-380; however, outside of the US and Canada, it was sold as the FN 140DA. This pistol is a semi-automatic, blowback-operated firearm with a Double-action/Single-action trigger mechanism. It is a derivative of the Beretta Model 81 Cheetah pistol. This pistol is equipped with an ambidextrous safety/decocker, which is located on the slide. Included is one 13 round magazine. According to the date code located in front of the serial number, this pistol was manufactured in 1987. This would be a great firearm to add to your FN Browning collection.
