1902 Carl Gustaf M1896/38 M38 Carbine Swedish Mauser in 6.5x55. Overall this rifle is in very good condition. Mechanically it functions as it should. The bore is bright with strong lands and grooves. There are very minor handling marks on the stock and handguard. There is very minor finish loss on the receiver, barrel, and barrel bands. This rifle is all matching, including the bolt. The top of the receiver ring is marked with "CARL GUSTAFS STADS GEVARSFAKTORI. 1902". Above that is the crest for Carl Gustaf, which is a crown over an old English "C". The side of the receiver is marked with the initals "G.F", followed by the serial number (119185). The side of the stock has an information disk on it. This disk tells the condition of the rifle the last time it was inspected. At the time of the last inspection, the inspector rated the bore a 1, which indicates the bore shows a little bit of darkening. The second area in this disk rates the bore diameter. This rifle scored a zero. This means that at the time of the last inspection, this rifle scored a "0", meaning the bore opening was measured at 6.50 millimeters. This rifle is equipped with a threaded barrel.
